Fashionista-in-Training

Our little fashionista in training took her pink convertible for a spin yesterday.

Madeline's First Christmas

We took Madeline to see Santa on Christmas Eve. She was dressed so cute, but on our way to the mall she had what we will forever refer to as the Great Christmas Crap-tastrophe of 2008. She ended up seeing Santa in just her skirt and a t-shirt, but she loved him and we got some really cute pictures of her. Christmas Eve was spent at Nanna's house. Madeline loves Nanna's snowman. She had a ball opening her presents and playing with all of the wrapping paper and bows!

We spent Christmas Day at home. Santa brought Madeline a pink car to cruise around the neighborhood in and filled her stocking with lots of goodies. She loved her car and had so much fun pulling gifts out of her stocking. We had a full house on Christmas Day. Grandma, Grampa, Uncle Jess, Aunt Julie, Randall, Clara, Uncle Andrew, Aunt Katie and Great Grandma Guire came over to celebrate with us. There were toys EVERYWHERE! The kids had a great Christmas and had so much fun playing together.

Getting Ready for Christmas

Since we never got around to sending out Christmas cards this year, I figured we should at least post some Christmas pictures of our little beauty helping mommy and daddy get ready for Christmas. Madeline is crazy about Christmas...the lights, the tree, the presents...and the cookies! She just can't get enough.
Here's Maddie helping mommy decorate the Christmas tree. She was such a good helper!

She loves looking at the tree. She knows she isn't supposed to touch and we've only had to pull her out of it a couple of times, which is MUCH less than I expected!

She has her own ornaments at the bottom of the tree that she can play with. They are plastic, which is good because they usually end up in her mouth or bouncing off the wood floor!Look mommy...a SNOWFLAKE!

Here she is playing with Great Grandma Guire and her cousins, Randy and Clara, on our cookie making day. GGG came over to help mommy bake cookies and Jess & Julie stopped by with the kids for a visit. It was raining outside, so all the kids played in the ball pit.

Shopping around the Christmas tree...I just can't get enough of her in this tutu!
We'll post some more pictures soon (we plan on taking Madeline to see Santa on Christmas Eve...we'll see how that goes!)

Snow, Baby!

It's snowing in Yucaipa! Madeline got to experience snow for the first time this evening in her own front yard! It doesn't snow very often in Yucaipa and it is really coming down out here tonight. These are GIANT flakes and it is sticking to the ground! It's pretty slushy, but we still got to stomp around in it and show Madeline what snow is all about. I'm sure she's dreaming of a white Christmas tonight!

9 Months Old

Maddie turned nine months old this week and to celebrate, we got her ears pierced! Mommy was a little hesitant, but since Dr. Webb did it (and we LOVE her) we decided to do it. Doesn't she look so beautiful! Mommy had to use her as a model for the tutus she's making for Christmas and she looked so cute we just had to take her picture.

P.S. Her doctor's appointment went well. Our little weed weighs 17 lbs 10 ounces and is a whopping 29 inches long (90th percentile for height!) She just started standing on her own this week and is babbling like crazy. We had to start using the convertible carseat because she is too long for her infant seat now. We've been very busy decorating the house, baking cookies, and getting ready for Christmas. We'll post some holiday pictures soon!
