RFD Family BBQ

On Saturday, Redlands Fire Department hosted its 3rd annual family barbeque at Yucaipa Regional Park. I'm pretty sure Madeline had the most fun at this picnic that she has ever had in her entire life! There were two bounce houses for the kids (one was the same we had at her birthday party), plus we flew kites, played baseball, and ate lots of yummy food! She had so much fun bouncing with all the big kids in the bounce houses. She was especially chummy with the Bristol boys...there were even a few smooches in between bouncing! Mommy and daddy had a ball playing with all the kids, but we were both EXHAUSTED at the end of the day. Madeline was pretty tuckered out too, but she always seems to have more energy than the two of us combined! All in all, it was a wonderful afternoon at the park and we can't wait for next year!

Bikini Babe

Madeline went swimming in her pool this weekend. She was so crazy for the water that she jumped in the pool with all of her clothes on while mommy was tying to fill it up! Doesn't she look adorable in her Roxy bikini?

Vegas Baby!

For Chris' b-day, we took a little weekend trip to Vegas. We had a GREAT time! Our flight was a little delayed (4 hours!) but we killed some time in the airport bar. The whole weekend was compliments of Hard Rock...dinner, hotel, everything! Plus, we even won a little money! We met up with the RFD crew on Saturday night for a surprise 30th birthday for Chad. We ended up dancing the night away at Body English...by Sunday morning, mommy was exhausted and missing her little munchkin. It was our first time leaving Miss Madeline for more than a night and we were sooooo happy to see her when we picked her up on Sunday. She had a blast with gramma, grampa, Andrew and Katie though!

I love playing in the playhouse Grandpa Mark got me for my birthday. I like to go in and out the door and open and close the windows. Auntie Jen got me this cool princess car. I like to stand on the seat...

The beauty of living in Southern California is that you can be in Ugg boots and a beanie one day, and playing in the hose in your bathing suit the next! It was almost 90 degrees at my house last week, so mommy and daddy let me play in the hose. It sure was fun!

Gramma and Grampa got me a sand and water table for my birthday. Caysen and I play with this table every day! We love to mix the sand and the water together. Caysen uses my play spoons to eat the sand...he's pretty silly!

Gramma and I share a birthday week...our birthdays are just two days apart! We had a bbq for Gramma's birthday at our house. Gramma made all the kids ice cream cone cupcakes. They were sooooooo yummy!!!

Here's a couple more birthday pictures. These were taken on my actual birthday. Mommy and daddy let me eat another cake...this one was chocolate!!! They sang "Happy Birthday" to me and then we all shared my yummy cake. I had a great first birthday!

Can you believe it??? TODAY I'M ONE!!!!

Here are a few pictures from Madeline's first birthday party last weekend. She had such a wonderful party. The kids had a ball running around the yard at Nanna's house and playing in the HUGE bouncy house daddy got for the party. All of Maddie's "people" were at the party...Great-Grandma and Great-Grandpa Randolph came out from Thousand Oaks, Great-Grampy and Mary Lou drove in from Sun City, and Grandpa Mark came all the way from Colorado to celebrate this special day with our angel. All of Maddie's closest friends came out to party...Caysen, Izzy, Kayleigh, Owen, Gavin, her cousins Randy and Clara...just to name a few! The weather was gorgeous and we couldn't have asked for a better day. Madeline LOVED her cake and playing in the bouncy house with mommy and daddy. She even took a few swings at the pinata...and had a ball picking through the candy with all the kids. I think her favorite part of the whole day was sliding down the big slide all by herself!

Madeline - you have grown into such a beautiful, funny, smart, energetic little girl. It seems like just yesterday we brought you home from the hospital...you were so tiny and we were so in love. We couldn't imagine that you would one day be the BIG GIRL you are today. We love to watch you play, listen to you talk, watch you EAT (you are SUCH a good eater), and cuddle you on occasion when you are sleeping (you are so good at sleeping in your own bed, mommy and daddy miss cuddling you in our bed while you sleep!) You give the VERY BEST HUGS anyone could ever ask for...seriously, you have melted the hearts of many! You will be a WONDERFUL big sister someday. WE LOVE YOU SO MUCH and thank God every day for bringing you into our lives. Every day we spend with you is a blessing and we can't wait to see what new and exciting adventures you will take us on this year! HAPPY BIRTHDAY SUGER PIE!!! WE LOVE YOU!!!!
