PARKER'S COWBOY BIRTHDAY
We started off the weekend celebrating Parker's first birthday...cowboy style!!!
Maddie had a blast playing with her cousins on the tire swing and bouncing in the bouncy house. Little Parker was such a cutie and loved digging into his very first birthday cake…yum!!!
BACKYARD PAINTING
Later that evening, Maddie got nice and dirty painting in the backyard. We were shopping at Michael’s a few weeks back when Madeline saw this lobster and just had to get it for grandma and grandpa. Thankfully, this painting was done OUTSIDE because by the end of her project, Madeline was completely covered in red, blue and green paint!
CLEANUP IN AISLE FIVE!!!
After shopping at the Farmer’s Market with grandma and grandpa on Sunday morning, we made a quick stop at Albertsons. Madeline was thrilled to have her very own cart to push. To our surprise, the cart had a few extra groceries at checkout (Baby Belle cheeses, fruit snacks and Fritos)…our little shopper made sure she got all the items on HER list!
SWIMMING IN THE COOOOZEEE!!!
After shopping in the hot sun, we took a swim in the pool! Well...the pool was a little too chilly for Mads, so she opted for a dip in the coooozeee. This was her very first time actually swimming in her floaties (she has worn them several times just for kicks).
She did very well and we were all so proud of her!
MEMORIAL DAY BBQ
We decided to avoid the crowds at the beach and all the traffic on the freeways and just have a low key backyard BBQ to celebrate Memorial Day. Ours neighbors stopped by for some fun as did Auntie Hillary and Maddie’s best buds, Izzy and Andrew. The kids had a blast playing in the new pool daddy picked up for the occasion. Auntie Hil brought her snow cone machine and the kids loved cooling down with snow cones in the hot sun! Maddie and Izzy ended the day with a naked run through the sprinklers. What a great weekend!
