Another day at the beach...

Grandma, Grandpa and mommy took me back to the beach today. It was a beautiful day and warmer so I was able to get a little more wet. It was so much fun! I can't wait for summer!

Today I went to the beach with mommy and grandma to watch Uncle Andrew surf.

I reeeeaaally wanted to go swimming, but mommy said NO!

We had such a fun time and I LOVE the beach! Hopefully, grandma, grampa and mommy will take me back tomorrow...

Backyard Fun

Today, my mommy took me to Target and bought me a bunch of sand toys.

We don't have a sandbox (or a beach nearby), but I had fun just playing with my buckets and shovels in the grass.

I'm a pretty good walker in the grass and I loved carrying my new toys all around. I especially love my watering can!

I even saw my first rollie pollie today! I picked him up and held him in my hand. Mommy said I had to be gentle, but I squished him on accident. He survived, but I think he was scared because he rolled into a ball and wouldn't play with me anymore.

Then, I convinced mommy to put water in my bucket. It was warm outside, so she didn't mind. She said her grandpa always let her play in a bucket of water in his backyard when she was little.

I had SO MUCH FUN! I wanted to crawl into my bucket, but I wouldn't fit. I ended up just spilling the water on the ground and sitting in the puddle. Mommy had to take all of my clothes off because I was so wet. I can't wait to play with my sand toys again tomorrow! What fun new toys!

11 Months Old

Madeline turned 11 months old last Tuesday (I know, I'm a little late with the post)! She is such a busy girl these days. She has been walking around like a pro for about a week now. She started taking steps a month ago, but just recently mastered the craft. She loves eating (just like her mama) and has been known to help herself to the cheerios on occasion. She loves riding her zebra in the backyard (she's a very intense rider). Her newest thrill is watching the washing machine. We can't walk by the laundry room without her moving her hands in circles like the washer! She also loves being naked and has gotten pretty quick at escaping mommy's grasp during a diaper change. Being 11 months old is hard work! There's just so much to do and learn everyday. We can't believe we have started planning her first birthday. It seems like just yesterday that we brought her home from the hospital. She was so tiny and helpless. Now she is almost 20 pounds, 30 1/2 inches tall, and practically runs from one end of the house to the other. Our little baby is becoming such a big girl!
