On July 14th, we headed up to San Jose for the Firefighter Olympics. Daddy's department has a softball team that won the gold medal last year while Madeline was in mommy's tummy. They took 5th place this year...not too bad. Madeline flew on a plane for the second time to get there and also took her first train ride!

First Food
Madeline turned 4 months old today, July 10th. She weighs almost 13 lbs and is 24 inches long! Dr. Webb was very impressed with how advanced she is for her age. She told us we can start feeding her solid food (she has been showing interest for about two weeks now, constantly trying to eat off of mommy and daddy's plates!). We started her on yummy rice cereal, which she didn't reaaly care for. After two weeks, we started giving her veggies. Her favorites are carrots and sweet potatoes! Yum!

Madeline's Baptism
On May 23, 2008, Madeline was baptized at the Mission in San Juan Capistrano. It was such a beautiful day. We were fortunate enough to have the Serra Chapel all to ourselves (thanks Dad!) Maddie wore the same gown that mommy and grandma both wore when they were baptized! Auntie Hillary and Uncle Frank are Madeline's godparents.
First Crush?
This is Madeline and her neighbor, Caysen, who is just 10 days older than her. We think there may be some crushing going on between these two...Madeline keeps trying to rollover towards Caysen. By the way, Madeline started trying to roll from her back to her belly in May when she was only 2 months old. She had already mastered the belly to back roll at about six weeks and was an expert at rolling from her back to her belly by three months!

Four Days Old
Madeline is just four days old in these pictures. This is the day we found out that her billirubin levels had increased since coming home from the hospital. She was put on a billi-bllanket and would stay on it for five days until her levels went back down. As uncomfortable as that thing must have been, she was SUCH a good girl! I think it was harder on mommy and daddy...
Madeline's Birthday!!!
On March 10, 2008 at 1:33 pm after 18 hours of labor our little angel arrived!!! She weighed in at 6 lbs 15 oz and was 19 inches long. We fell in love the moment we saw her beautiful face. Delivering her was the hardest thing I have ever done in my life, but also the most amazing experience. I could not have done it without my AWESOME husband and support team (mom, dad & Mary) and, of course, the BEST NURSE EVER, Jeanette!
Awaiting Madeline's Arrival
